my dad's kitchen

In part with my trying to rebuild a relationship with my father, I have decided to start picking on his interior decorating choices. Not often does a 49 year old newly divorced man make good interior design choices. Not only does he know nothing about decorating, but he was diagnosed as colorblind many years ago...

So I've decided his kitchen needs some help. His main "theme" in the kitchen is CHICKENS, he has dozens of them. Pictures, statues, blown glass, you name it. Lined on shelves, hung on walls, and propped up on top of cabinets, chickens everywhere.

Now, as far as color choices this is by far one of the best rooms in his house. In the den and bed rooms he has chosen dark brown carpet, white paneling, and piss yellow and burgundy walls.

The chickens have to go. He doesn't agree with my personal tastes but I'm partial to a grandiose kitchen:
Like this one

But getting rid of at least some of the chickens will do for now... he bought two new cast iron ones at a yard sale today.
